WEEK 2: Safety in Numbers
We ended up at a respectable 11-5 in Week 1. Patrick, Lisa, George, Bobby, and Andy each took a bullet to the chest, but are still standing. No more safety nets for those poor souls.
1. All Aboard!: 4 players elected to hop aboard the pirate ship this weekend and allow Thomas Edward Brady to guide them through treacherous waters. The Bucs are a wagon, but as we saw in Week 1 this team loves to shoot themselves in the foot. Can Matty Ice and the dreadful Falcons capitalize on their mistakes? No probably not.
Prediction: Bucs make Arthur Smith pay the Iron Price.
Gronk is back. The NFC is screwed.
2. Rookie QB Matchup in the Meadowlands: Mac Jones vs. Zach Wilson in the land of piss and shit that is New Jersey. The Jets are without their starting left tackle along with a whole slew of defenders. With a more talented team in tow, this should be Mac Jones' first NFL victory. All that said the Patriots dropped a very winnable game at home last week. Maybe Fireman Ed (Is that moron still alive?) and the Jets faithful rock the Patriots with their first home crowd in over 2 years. 25% of the pool leans Pats.
Prediction: Defense has a bounce back game for Patriots and makes key stops. Mormon Mahomes = Turnover Machine
3. Tyrod's Revenge Game: The lowly Texans decimated the Jags in their battle for the basement of the AFC South last weekend. I said last week that everyone was sleeping on Tyrod, well everyone is awake now. He is traveling to Cleveland to take on Baker Mayfield aka the man who took Tyrod's job. I'm riding Tyrod until something says otherwise. If Houston wins this game, every QB in the league will be lining with to get shot up in the lung with whatever "Secret Stuff" Tyrod got.
Prediction: The bell tolls Tyrod. IF TYROD DIDN'T GO DOWN, TEXANS WIN THAT GAME!
